The website www.epos.pt is owned by EPOS – Empresa Portuguesa de Obras Subterrâneas, S.A. (EPOS).

EPOS respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. To that end, we draw your attention to this Privacy Notice, which provides information about our Privacy Policy, practices and choices you can make about the way we collect information online and how we use that information. This website is governed by the laws of Portugal. The Portuguese courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of the use of this website.

1. Automatically Collected Data

The domains and IP addresses of visitors are registered automatically. This information does not identify the user, but only the computer used to access the site. This data is analysed globally to see where in the world the site is being used, to ensure coverage and to enable us to improve our service to you. The personal data of each user is not collected and analysed in this process.

2. Cookies

To collect the information referred to in point 1, temporary cookies may be used that will remain in the cookie file of the user’s browser until the browser is closed. Cookies cannot by themselves identify you. A “cookie” is a small piece of information sent to the user’s server and stored on the hard disk of the user’s computer, without causing any damage to the computer. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie so that you can choose whether to accept or reject it.

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the www.epos.pt website. An IP address is a numeric code that identifies a computer on the network/Internet. Your IP address is also used to collect demographic information. We may also perform IP lookups to determine which domain the user has come from (i.e.: aol.com, yourcompany.com) to better gauge user demographics.

3. Collection and processing of personal data

This Privacy Policy regulates the collection of personal data and their subsequent processing, as well as the exercise of the holder’s rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD).

The data collected will be processed and stored electronically by the entity responsible for processing, EPOS – Empresa Portuguesa de Obras Subterrâneas, S.A..

These data will be treated confidentially and will be used for Recruitment and Selection (by the Central Human Resources Department), for Denunciations and Complaints Management (by the Compliance Management Team), Information or Clarification Requests (by the Corporate Secretary) and Social Responsibility (by the Workers’ Representatives for Social Responsibility).

The processing of the data collected is necessary for the pursuit of the main and accessory activities of those responsible for processing and explicitly indicated in the information collection forms.

4. Access to personal data

EPOS allows free access, free of charge, to this site in order to provide information about our company and the work we have developed for our customers.
