On July 29, 2025, EPOS – Empresa Portuguesa de Obras Subterrâneas, S.A. signed a cooperation protocol with Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) within the scope of the Recursos+ Initiative, aimed at supporting the training of new engineers in the field of mineral and energy resources.
This protocol provides for the annual awarding of merit-based scholarships to fully cover the tuition fees of students in the bachelor’s degree in Mining and Energy Resources Engineering.
The initiative seeks to encourage young people to pursue an excellent education, promoting the link between industry and academia, and contributing to meet the growing demand for qualified engineers – essential to the challenges of Energy and Digital Transitions. It is also an opportunity for EPOS to directly contribute to attracting and fostering talent.
Through this support, EPOS reinforces its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and sector development, investing in the future of students and strengthening technical and scientific knowledge in Portugal.
