On November 4th, 2025, a contract was signed between EPOS – Empresa Portuguesa de Obras Subterrâneas, S.A. and Vale Base Metals for the Alemão Project, with a duration of 23 months. This marks the first step in an emblematic and strategic project for the Brazilian mining sector, located at the former Igarapé Bahia Mine in Parauapebas (Pará), and the beginning of a partnership expected to be long-lasting.
The project includes the dewatering, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the Exploratory Ramp, which extends 1,970 meters, as well as the installation of permanent infrastructure, comprising lighting, pumping, ventilation, and telecommunications systems — a crucial stage for advancing the next phases of exploration.
EPOS is fully committed to meeting deadlines and upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and precision — values that guide every project it undertakes and underpin its responsible operations across all markets.
We thank the Vale Base Metals team for their trust and spirit of partnership. This marks the beginning of a project that reaffirms EPOS’s commitment to technical excellence, innovation, and safety in every challenge.
