02 02 CONJUNTURA DO O setor de atividade da Construção Civil e Obras Públicas, face ao estado de uma economia em depressão, não obstante o crescimento ligeiro da economia em 2014, continuou, segundo os dados e estimativas das associações empresariais, a demonstrar uma variação negativa da produção – desta vez em cerca de 4,5 % do seu volume, contra os 15,1 % registados em 2013 – pelo seu décimo terceiro ano consecutivo, o que faz redundar num resultado acumulado de perda de produção da ordem dos 58 % desde 2000, que é amplamente demonstrativo e evidente do estado de depauperação deste setor, o qual durante décadas tanto deu à economia portuguesa. Claramente, tal estado de coisas é mais uma vez confirmado pelo fiável Indicador das Vendas de Cimento, onde se observou em 2014 nova queda de -9 %, a acrescer à diminuição significativa das vendas ocorrida nos anos anteriores (-23 % em 2013, -26,9 % em 2012 e -15 % de 2011).
